Allan Otto and his brother Jerry, the County Road Supervisor in Hill County, Havre, MT, were discussing the need for a user friendly packer/roller that would mount on a motor grader. Shortly after this discussion Allan set about designing just that, and the Walk 'n' Roll packer/roller was born. The heart of the Walk 'n' Roll packer/roller is it's patented WALKING BEAM SUSPENSION.
This feature sets it apart from all of the grader mounted compactors on the market today. Allan started building the Walk 'n' Roll in his shop in Big Sandy Montana in 1999. He quickly outgrew the Big Sandy facility and in the spring of 2001 Allan moved his business to Havre, MT.

Allan devoted the majority of his time building packers and saw the need to find a marketing arm for his product. So in October of 2001 Allan signed an agreement with Jerry Lyngby, owner of
1 Contractors Solutions, to distribute the Walk 'n' Roll packer/roller in the United States and Canada.

In 2002 we sold units in South Dakota and Wyoming. This was our first attempt to market outside of Montana. In 2003 we expanded into North Dakota, Wyoming & Colorado. In 2004 we continued our expansion to Nebraska, Missiouri, Georgia, Minnesota & Canada. January 2005, 1 Contractors Solutions incorporated and changed the name to LyCox Enterprises, Inc. In March of 2005 we displayed the Walk 'n' Roll packer/roller at ConExpo in Las Vegas, NV and NACO in Bismarck, ND in April. The response from the first time viewers was overwhelming.
