(1949) - Born and raised in Peoria,IL.
Education: (1967 - 1972)
Graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science dual-degree, both in Civil Engineering & Business Administration.
Career: (1973 - 2007)
Jay's career spanned nearly 35 years with Caterpillar Inc.in a wide variety of Marketing related jobs.
Starting in 1973, he began his career with the Marketing Training Class and spent most of his career in various ( lift trucks, paving products,work tool attachments, forestry products, and machines) marketing related positions in Roanoke ,VA.,Cleveland,OH., Sacramento,CA., and the Peoria area. Jay has played key roles in new product introduction for several major product programs, most notably Motor Graders.
During his tenure in working with U.S. Caterpillar Dealers, he managed the branding effort and strategy development for the launch of the concept of "The Cat Rental Store", which has since been develped successfully throughout the world.
Jay finished his career selling directly over $100M of machines to US federal agency customers, as leader of a commercial team within Caterpillar Defense & Federal Products.

Married to Jayne with 4 grown daughters, living in Coal Valley,IL.
